Heritage Park Wedding: Liz + Charlie

She closed her eyes, smiling softly, and took a deep breath. To soak it all in. As her bridesmaids buzzed around her in the salon and happily chatted together, Liz sat calmly in her chair, taking in each little moment of the day. It was finally here, and she didn’t want to forget it. Then, a little later as she got dressed, her mom and her sister helping her with her gown and shoes, she looked out the window. Her eyes welled up, and the smile on her face got even wider. She was about to see the man who would that day become her husband, her life, her everything.

He stood next to the line of trees, his back turned as Liz made her way towards him. Charlie could barely contain the smile of excitement trying to burst through, but the glimmer in his eyes said it all. When she pulled his hands away from his face, though, the smile he’d been holding back erupted as he took in the beauty of his bride, looking even more stunning than he’d imagined. A bit later he stood waiting again, this time at the front of the chapel, and Liz made her way down the aisle. But this time he didn’t even bother holding back the smile. This time, his smile was one of complete happiness. The one of a man who was watching the woman before him become his wife, his life, his everything.

Liz and Charlie, thanking you so much for choosing me to be there on your wedding day! The love you two share is truly something special, a love and happiness that touches everyone who witnesses it. And I pray it’s a love that will only get bigger with every day that passes :) Congratulations!!! XOXO.

The day began for Liz and all her girls at Got Beauty!

Once hair and makeup were perfected, it was time to get the dress on :)

I loved Liz’s short and sweet gown!!

Liz, you are truly a classic beauty…

Meanwhile, Charlie and all of his guys were getting prepped too!

Liz’s sweet dad was a part of the group, and he had such a calm demeanor, taking everything in and relishing each moment of his daughter’s big day…

Charlie, I think everyone agrees that you made quite the dapper groom!

Next comes, quite possibly, my favorite part of the entire day. Liz and Charlie decided to do a First Look, which I absolutely LOVE! And they had one of the sweetest First Looks I’ve ever documented….

This is about where I started to tear up.

They were just so, so incredibly happy :)

After the First Look we walked around Heritage Park for more pictures.

LIZ!! Just work it, girl. Work it!!

Love this one…

Seriously you two?! GORGE.

Favorite :) Their joy just radiates!

Soon it was time for the ceremony. Loved the quaint little chapel!

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Oliver!!!

Liz spent long hours hand-crafting decorations to make her vision come alive, and I think it paid off well!

Rather than give out favors, Liz and Charlie opted to donate money to Charity Water in honor of their guests. LOVE that.

They also made their own homemade wine for the reception… How amazing is that?!?

I would never normally drink at a wedding… but I couldn’t pass up just a little taste of the homemade wine! And it was deeelish, in case you were wondering :)

They also brought in food carts for their meals. Um, SO yummy!

I mustache you a question, but I’ll shave it for later… Haha! (No judging me on my use of lame jokes.)

Sadly, after the cake was cut, the rain that had been threatening to pour all day finally did decide to grace us with it’s presence. So we had to make a quick change and run over to the building across from the pavilion! But that didn’t stop everyone from enjoying some lovely dancing :)
