Friday Fun Facts

Wow. This day really got away from. Sorry for the late posting! Anyone else have that kind of day?? Blah. At least it’s the weekend. : )

In other news, Jake and I went to see Harry Potter on opening night. Two thoughts on it. One, it was SO GOOD. More importantly, though, I can’t believe it’s OVER. It’s kind of sad, really. I love those movies. Not in a crazy dress-up-in-your-best-wizard-costume-and-buy-a-wand-for-opening-night kind of love. More like the slip-on-a-hoody-and-jeans-and-sit-happily-munching-my-churro-during-the-premier kind of love. I’ll miss that. Not sure Jake will. (He’s a good sport to try and stay awake during a midnight movie.) But I will.

At least I still have Twilight ; ) Here are this month’s Friday Fun Facts!!!

1. Harry Potter = Awesome. I won’t say any specifics in case someone hasn’t seen it. But it was awesome!
2. The Pull ‘N Peel Twizzlers are the only good kind of twizzlers. Regular Twizzlers and Red Vines just don’t cut it.
3. Spray ‘n Wash is a miracle worker. When all else fails, use Spray ‘n Wash.
4. Running out of milk is a tragedy, and should be a reasonable excuse to skip a day of work. Or at least be late, because you’re getting more milk.
5. How come wrapping a towel in your hair never looks as good as it does in the movies?
6. Sugar in the Raw is seriously the best sugar. Ever. For coffee, or tea, or baking, or a spoonful of sugar to help the medicine go down, etc. It’s the best. (Although they could package it in a more convenient bag.)
7. If you’re as in love with frothy drinks from quaint little coffee shops as I am, and if you’re looking for a way to make a difference in the world, check out The Mocha Club. Seriously. By giving up a couple lattes a month, you could save a life. (This isn’t sponsored by any means, it’s just something I feel strongly about and wanted to share the opportunity, in case anyone is interested.)
8. This summer is going by way too quickly.
9. Chewing gum while peeling onions will prevent you from crying. (I haven’t actually tried this, but I heard it somewhere. Feel free to let me know if it works.)

10. Free concerts in the park are a guh-reat place to people watch.

Salt Lake puts on free concerts in Pioneer Park, and last night Jake and I went with some friends to see Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. I’ll be honest. The only song of their’s that I really know is Home, but that was enough to get me there. And they do put on a great show. A little crazy, maybe, but pretty fun. Just like the people that come to watch. Free concerts definitely bring out an interesting crowd! Let me ask this… is the hula hoop coming back? I definitely saw more than one person breaking it down with some very entertaining hula hoop dance moves. Anyhow, it was a good time.

And this is why Jake and I rarely have any pictures together. It ‘s a struggle to get one decent one. Here are our attempts from last night. Haha.

Hope everyone has an awesome weekend!

Also, only a few days left to enter for a chance to win a free photo shoot!! Check it out : )
