Friday Fun Facts

The other day I was reading through all the Friday Fun Facts on my old blog, and I literally laughed out loud. Because a lot of them have to do with food. Then I looked at my list for today, and realized that, still, a lot of them have to do with food. I’m not sure whether I should be proud or embarrassed. I’m pretty sure my dad would be proud. I’m going to go with slightly embarrassed. I’ll try not to bombard you with lots of food anymore. Then again, I’m not going to make any promises…

1. You know the holidays were good to you when your “big jeans” are no longer that big…

2. The most recent year that can be read the same upside down was 1961. That won’t happen again until 6009.

3. If you are a tea lover, you have GOT to try Coconut Chai Tea. It’s a little bit of heaven in your mouth. (That is also assuming that you like coconut.)

4. But if you swing more in the line of coffee, definitely get yourself a french press. Coffee never tasted so good in the morning. Plus, coffee makers are so last century.

5. Cows give more milk when they listen to music. Which totally makes sense. I mean, I’m waaay more productive when I’ve got music going.

6. If you tend to have a bit of road rage (it will forever boggle my mind how some people can drive UNDER THE SPEED LIMIT), listening to classical music can help. Debussy’s Clair De Lune is a personal favorite.

7. Tortillaland Uncooked Flour Tortillas are by far the best tortillas on the market. If you like making breakfast burritos, or fajitas, or if you just enjoy a nice flour tortilla, definitely buy yourself some of these. You won’t be disappointed.

8. The Sundance Film Festival comes to Park City every year, bringing lots of awesome movies, celebrities, and downright entertainment. But it also brings in tourists by the hundreds. So if you’re a local, or if you’re in town for the festival, be sure to give yourself a bunch of extra time for driving, because you won’t be getting anywhere in a hurry!

9. If you recently got engaged, you’re definitely going to want to check back here on Monday. Trust me. You won’t regret it. (In other words, there may or may not be a contest brewing…)

10. Skiing is better than snowboarding.

I probably just made some people audibly gasp, and quite possibly opened up a can of worms. But I’m totally kidding. I’ve actually never even been snowboarding. I’m sure it’s really great, too. I just couldn’t think of a better way to lead into my photos for the day. Haha. Jake and I went skiing yesterday and it was wonderful. I feel so blessed to live in a place that where I can ski regularly! I’m pretty sure I’ve been spoiled rotten, but I love the mountains, and I can’t see myself living anywhere else : )

The view from the top of McConkey’s chairlift at Park City Mountain Resort.

And yes, I made us do a totally cheesy tourist picture, complete with the camera reflection in our googles. It’s sophisticated.

Happy Weekend!

Where did you learn that fact about cows and music! I think its cool and I do believe it! haha. And please, for Fine’s sake, keep bringing up a lot about food on your blog.

Did you get the photo that I sent you the other day? Cinnamon and sugar kettle corn drizzled with frosting (like on a cinnamon roll)? I thought of you making your “I love this food” noise.

@Emily Blogging about food is inevitable. I will always be a Fine. Haha.

@Sara Save me a piece of that corn!
