When I was little, I used to pretend I was a horse. Or a wolf. Sometimes a tiger. Whatever suited my fancy. I was one of thooose girls. I didn't really play with dolls or put on lipstick and wear my mom's heels. Instead, I created elaborate stories in my head and played them out for hours, sometimes days, until the story was complete.

As I got older, I thought for a time that I wanted to be a writer. Instead of acting out the stories in my imagination, I tried to put them on paper. I would sit down and start these grand novels, only to begin another one after a few chapters in the first. I had every intention of finishing them. I just... never did. Apparently writing isn't my strong suit.

Then I found a camera. Jackpot. I found a way to stop time. To tell real stories. The kind of stories that should be remembered. Need to be remembered. Stories full of life and love that beg to be preserved and shared.

So I guess you could call me a story teller. A really, really ridiculously blessed and happily married story teller who can't cook but laughs a lot and has three dogs. I love my life.

Bonneville Salt Flats Wedding Portraits: Lindsey + Tad

Remember several weeks ago when I posted Lindsey and Tad’s engagement session?? And how I promised there would be more coming? Well get ready to feast your eyes on some more gorgeousness! Quick funny story… we made the road trip out to the Salt Flats, and when we got there, the beautiful white sands that we were planning to photograph on were completely covered in water! So we had to deviate our plans slightly, and ended up shooting in more of a desert area where the water hadn’t reached yet. Truthfully though, I think this ended up being even better than what we had envisioned! I wouldn’t change a thing about it.

This was also initially planned to be a bridal shoot for Lindsey, but they decided they wanted to have more photos together, which I loved!! So they did a first look (it was adorable I might add), and then we got some beautiful portraits of the two of them in their wedding attire. Another fun fact, the dress Lindsey is wearing was her mother’s wedding dress!! She had altered a little bit, but mostly kept it very similar to the original. The deep back was original, which I thought was incredible! Her mom might have been a ahead of her time in bridal fashion ;) But enough of me talking (typing?), please enjoy a few more favorites of this wonderful couple!
